OT Hi Larry - Is yours a Winmodem? Mine will connect with the 3com test site which says that 56k would be problematic, which is okay as long as it would adjust down to a lower speed when it runs into a V90 supporting server, just like the laptop does. Anyway, I decided to send it back. Apart from the modem it had trouble with my file transfer program (windows would crash) and I got tired of the Dell tech guy saying that couldn't possibly be their machine's fault - even tho the same program works fine on my machine at home in Florida, which I assembled myself. Also, Windows took forever to load, much longer than the Florida machine. All in all it seemed to be getting to be a situation of what starts bad usually ends worse.
