<<Well zuma hasn't been around here for a while...>> I'm still around -- just totally buried at work. Still following every post...(amazing how many accumulate if you can only check in once a day or so). -- DID get an ADSL line put in last week at home on my old 100Mhz Pentium, and it friggin' ROCKS! I HIGHLY recommend them (or cable modems), if they're available in your area. I got mine through Bell Atlantic. Amazing deal -- splitting your phone line, the network card, installation, and the new modem are basically FREE, if you sign up for a year at about $45 bucks a month (which is around what I'll probably save in local phone costs from using my old ISP). Way OT, but if you're interested...:bellatlantic.net And, for what it's worth, -- broadband is so obviously the future that it's not even worth debating, IMHO. I can now, over ONE phone line, be connected to the internet at all times while still having full use of the phone. Look up a movie, check the weather, get FAST, full-motion streaming video of the day's events from CNN, no problem... The CF-related point to all this is -- the speed and ease of using Quicken's one-step update (download my transactions, pay my bills, update my portfolio) is now improved by a convenience factor of 100. May take a couple 'a years, but my new opinion is that while all the marketing and deals that are barreling down the pike are gonna be very good for checkfree, just wait until the masses go through the "broadband paradigm shift" that turns the internet into something that's as convenient and TRULY easy-to-use as your toaster... Regards -- rk (just waitin, waitin, and buying a little more, here and there)
