I have been involved with about three splits this year so far, and the market is not following its normal patterns. You use to see a run up when a split was announced, but lately have only seen a few point movement. I love the run up, when it peaks I dump, then buy back after split when it dips, and it always dips, sometime around the 12 trading day after a split the stock is at its lowest before the rise up again. Sounds weird but check it out for yourself, go back a research some stocks that have split this year.
