In addition to the recent cable purchases, Paul Allen is in the midst of expensive building projects in Seattle. A huge music museum at Seattle Center is nearing its half-way stage (where change orders begin to pile up the costs). At the same time, on the other end of downtown, he's refurbishing an old train station and building a large office building behind it, and has started construction across the street on the new Seahawks football stadium that will replace the Kingdome. It's all very expensive. Expect to see more sales of MSFT holdings.
