Jim,

I agree. I believe Dell is focused on capitalizing on these
opportunities for accelerated consolidation.

Unfortunately, the street currently seems uninterested in this
potential. They want Dell to do something sensational like
change their name to eDell.com, buy something... ANYTHING with
an "e" prefix and make a series of statements to the effect that
they'll be out of the PC business altogether in 5 years.

It irks me when I hear analysts say "Dell needs a new story" and
"it better not be more of the same", as if the prospects of
growing earnings from 2B a year to 4B a year within 30 months
is something Dell should steer away from.

Geez, how many companies on the planet are in this kind of
position?
