I am long on AOL, but I am getting SICK AND TIRED about how this stock and other tech stocks are getting hammered for the past few weeks. In my opinion, Greenspan is inflicting more damage to the market by insinuating on a rate bias increase than if he actually increased the rate.
People, this is worse than water torture. Mr. Greenspan, if are going to increase rates, do it now and get it over!

I want to screeammmmmmmmmmmmm! Still do not feel better.

How did you arrive at the 70-90 figure as the cost basis for most AOL stock holders? I bought AOL on 11/30/98 and my cost basis is in the 40's so I would tend to believe that most of the more recent buyers have already been stopped or scared out of the market.

In so far as BP's comments that AOL will drop below $90 well what do you expect a self admitted bear on INETS to say! My guess is we won't see much of BP this fall when AOL gets back to it's recent levels!

I am on record on this thread from a couple of months ago, at which time I predicted a return to the early 1999 prices of mid to high 60s.

I have seen nothing to cause me to change that opinion.

Longer term, say for a 3-5 years, AOL might, repeat might, assuming their growth continues and the market is still reasonably healthy, be a reasonable investment below 50.
