Re CDMAOne and 2nd gen data upgrades, and then CDMA2000, being the only game in town (the country in fact) all I was doing was trying to suggest that GSM ain't there, it has zero presence, nada. So the traditional battle is moot.

Sure PHS is a "digital" system, but sinking fast, no? A noncompetitor in the future for build out purposes. And what in your judgement is the future build out expectation for analog?

I was focused on looking ahead when I made my comment that CDMA has Japan to itself until NTT DoCoMo launches its 3rd gen WCDMA a year or two from now.

Still think that Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia et al are well worth watching while the wheels grind slowly re China.
