To Marden: Since you look at the Q thread now and then suggest you check out Gregg Powers two recent posts there to me. He thinks that nonconvergence (separate WCDMA and CDMA2000) is best for the Q. Note that the UMTS 99 is Eurocentric as usual. But I guess the point is, who cares? Chaz

Those still fighting the GSM-CDMA battle just don't get it; the GSM network protocols will endure but the TDMA air-interface is a goner. Next generation GSM will be based on CDMA; GSM=CDMA; long-live GSM.
