*Another* warning sign??

As if we needed any more, but this one is particularly interesting and amusing.

I don't hold much weight with analysts, especially when the last two remaining are not only regional (local to Oregon), one is an underwriter for TMSR, and both recommended this stock before the last fall from 19 -3 as well.
However, this deserves some attention. As reported by Pete Mason earlier in this thread, on May 3, the quarter 2 estimate was 6.2 million and a loss of eleven cents. Now we should note that these results would not actually be possible at all with the current margins anyway (as over 8 mil in revenue barely beat this).

However as of this writing the ACE consensus for this quarter is NO CONSENSUS! They actually no longer state the 11 cent loss for some reason (which seemed a reasonable enough goal to me, considering they lost 5 last time).
Their reason?
"At this time there is no estimate for the second quarter, perhaps indicating some uncertainty on the part of the analysts about prospects in this period."

FYI, Pete, the analyst that gave the .77 cent estimate for 1999 was none other then are friend Demon Whatzat (whatever). The other analyst gives a more reasonable (if still bullish) .00 cent estimate. That's where the .38 cent "consensus" you found came from.

Note that Demon still holds to the .77 cent estimate, despite I guess having no estimate for this quarter.

Gotta love that. Not only was his previous report oblivious to the actual demand of the internet products, now he appears oblivious to such trivial things such as what 4 numbers now actually add up to give him the .77 cent estimate??

Note however that 2000 estimates have also been dropped..
Could have something to do that Microsoft will complete their destruction of Thrustmaster with their free competing products?
Hmmmm.

Let's leave you with the last line of the report:
"any significant variation from expected results could have very adverse price consequences for the shares."
