<<That shot at Robert was unwarranted. Chill and keep your powder dry for real targets.>> I really don't think it was unwarranted...Harsh, yes...but certainly not unwarranted. Who exactly is a real target ?? The person that gets paid 500k shares of stock from company ABCD and then goes around spewing bullsh*t hype and lies suckering people into buying a worthless stock...or the folks that leak false rumors in an effort to drive a stock's share price down..... Or an insider leaking news prematurely to close friends....or a novice investor dealing in TA he doesn't even understand himself - but thereby causing somebody to listen and buy, sell or hold a stock? I do not plan on getting into a war with people on this thread...If you folks don't see that just because something is not illegal, it still can be a detrimant, then I am sorry and many of you are living in a world with your eyes shut tight. I received an e-mail from somebody who visits this thread. Now, first of all, everybody needs to do their own DD and be responsible for their own actions.....you know that and I know that, but there are alot of novice folks hitting the internet that don't know that. These people come here and are pigs waiting to be slaughtered. The person I am talking about saw folks like Vendit and others posting good solid info...these people very obviously know what they are talking about. Then they see Robert.....naturally talking about the 5 upcoming splits we have coming and the soon to be $250.00 share price and 5 trillion market cap.....Robert goes on and literally states he is working with Vendit, or something to that effect and etc, etc....People that don't know any better, believe this and start taking advice from somebody that wouldn't currently know chart a from chart b if they hit him upside the head. The e- mail I received was not bad...it was simply from someone asking me who Robert was and whether they did the right thing by listening to him...at that time, we were at $135 - $140 and Robert was talking his thing about the bottom being here and $175 being our next stop and a split by end of summer. This person said they did not sell and bought more at that time...now, this person e-mails me to tell me he saw another post from robert where he was saying he was new at this and was trying his best to learn.....Anyway this person was confused. I told him first of all, that he should never ever listen to anyone on any chat room if you do not know who they are....Take what you hear and use it as a base to do your own homework, but never listen to anyone....I then tried to calm the fears by explaining the volatility in the market, internut correction, rate hike fears and etc, etc...This person was 31 years old and in the market now for the long term. With that in mind, I told him he should not worry. There are no guarantee's, but aol is the Internet Gorilla and is t positioned for the future as good as anyone...I told him the $140 price a added to his position at would most likely seem like a bargain and he would be thanking robert in the future...but the point is, luckily we are talking about aol, and luckily this person did not borrow money or blow the kids college fund because somebody that talks a big game gave them the impression they could get a quick short term rise. Again...we all know that we should be responsible for our own actions....we should not blame anybody for advice received because it was our choice whether to listen...but the fact is, this is not always the case, and every one here knows this. There are new investors jumping on the internet everyday, and most are learning lessons the hard way. Maybe now you know why I come across so harsh concerning certain things...because certain things need to be dealt with a certain way, or we are wasting our time trying to anything to begin with. Lastly...No need for anybody to respond...we don't need to begin world war 3 on a very useful thread. The fact is, in any battle you will always have 2 sides..each believing they are right. No differance here....for every public message I received chastising me for my post, I also received ( well....6 of them anyway ) posts from folks thanking me...telling me I hit the nail right on the head...that the internet is a dangerous place and folks like robert...although not intentionally meaning to do any harm..does harm, nonetheless. These came from regular posters on this thread...a couple from some very well respected people on this thread.....So, there are two sides to every coin...Mine is simply that people need to use their head a little more and think about how their actions effect others....I am sure robert is a very nice guy....I am sure he wouldn't hurt a flea if he knew he was doing it, but many people hurt others without even know they are doing it...and the internet is now the number breeding ground for this type of scenario I hope we see a recovery soon..and hope everybody has a wonderful day.
