I am jealous of your $2 cost basis. Seems unfair that folks who bought after the Abbott announcement have a lower basis than long term holders. But, that's life.

So there are three of us on this thread. O.K. Let's talk.

Yes, the volume would indicate institutional buying. Also, there is no recent news out to the public that would have sparked this rally. Someone wants a lot of stock and they want it right now. This was a $2.75 stock around May 3. And I'll bet that over 5 million shares have changed hands, but I have not really counted. So that is 25% of the company. The float has to be drying up.

If it were one big buyer then I'd guess that a 13f would have been filed by now. Once one acquires 5% of a company then, as I understand it, they can't buy anymore until the 13f is filed. And they have to do it in about 14 days(or whatever) of acquiring the 5%.

O.K. On Nasdaq they count both the buy and the sell in the volume-I think. So today alone 1.88% of the total 22 mil shs outstanding traded. It does not take long to acquire 5% at that rate. Since no 13f has been filed I'd say there are several institutional buyers, or else a family of funds buying for several funds so no 13f has to be filed until an individual fund has 5%.

So maybe we now know it is several funds. But who is not near as important as why. Aronex has not had a meeting lately, but maybe Abbott did and they would be the prime suspect. You know how that works. The party with something to say invites certain analysts, and they then get word long before the public. It is not inside information b/c anyone can go to the meeting, but the catch is that no one knows about the meeting except the invited guests.

So did Abbott have a meeting in late April just before this run started?? If you own stock in Abbott then call IR and ask. They ought to tell you. There is nothing secret about having an analysts meeting. And, if so, what was discussed? Any numbers that would help us to see how Abbott values our product potential? Get a transcript of the meeting, if any.

If I am on the right track then you can expect a glowing report from one or more analysts, along with a buy recommendation, this month-IMHO.

If it were one big buyer then I'd think 5% would have been reached by now, the volume would dry up(b/c they can't buy anymore until the 13f is filed) and a 13f would be filed real soon. Anyway, some big money folks like Aronex, and they like it right now and at least up to $5.50 as of today.

Kind of interesting. And the public is not in yet. I mean, this is a public thread and almost no one posts. I don't count Yahoo jabber. That-IMHO- is a near meaningless indicator.

Umm. Maybe Atragen is going to become a cure all for cancer. There was an April news release with many good implications. It was posted on the thread a couple of months ago.

Claud - you here too?

You have excellent taste. Unfortunately, I've been in this one way too long - and unlike Zona, I haven't made any money here - good thing Zona has made up for it (and everything else <g>).

Congratulations on this one.
