Reminds me of my beginner's luck, as I'd only just begun to invest in earnest ... dialed non-stop for 10 minutes and finally got through on Oct 20th to buy 30 shares MSFT at 50 3/4 (split 72-1 since then). Unfortunately for me, I bought this in my wife's IRA. Although she later diversified 1/3 of that, my EX-wife recently thanked me again for that $110k chunk she still has. Ouch!!!

MUK, We are much more overvalued than in October of 1987 and stocks are in much weaker, highly leveraged hands. I honestly don't know if there is any safety net number now that stock prices have reached this level of idiocy.
