Have you read through some of the posts of the "ETrade sucks" thread? There you will find a consistent barrage of complaints. Merrill has a corporate philosophy that puts the client first.

MER is acting quicker than other big names. How ridiculously high of p/e can egrp and amtd trade when the playing field is leveled out when their method is adopted universally?
