Here is another update...From EN.

===============================================

Update you can post if you would like. EN sources that provided information on why IBM decided to use PC 133 this year have now provided us with the written performance evaluations of PC 133 vs Rambus that were used to make the decision. Despite what IBM's corporate spokespeople are saying about IBMs "official" decision, its technical staff has come to a decision to use PC 133. IBM's spokesperson confirmed this fact Tuesday morning to Bloomberg News before backing off later in the day as the overeaction to the news continued. This does not exclude Rambus in any other systems shipped this year or any future systems, but it does prove that IBM has decided that there is an alternative to Rambus for at least part of its product line.
This is significant to our readers, who are other computer OEMs trying to decide what memory solutions they will use, but as you know, means nothing specific with regard Rambus' long term health or short term stock price other than the significance jittery investors might attach to it.
