Ed,

While I applaud your efforts in compiling and formulating questions I think we need to address the fact that time will be an issue when the webcast comes.

Each question will take time to ask and the response will also take more time.Plus it must be assumed that more people other than us here at SI will also have questions thus limiting our chances for a response.

Perhaps a better solution would be to make a top ten list of questions that are designed to try to hit all aspects of operations and financing.Stay away from the speculative questions about possible new alliances and partnerships that in all likelyhood would be met with a "we are exploring all options at this time" type of response.

Then from that "top ten" list wittle it down to a core 5 questions that are really the "core", probing questions that will give us the most insight. Then when and if time allows the follow-up and additional questions can be asked. Bombarding them with a list of 30-40 questions from 1 source and asking Bramson to get to all of them is probably an unrealistic goal.

Anyway just trying to express my view and help make this webcast as enlightening as possible.

Ed,

Here's a question that has been on my mind. If it is already on the list I apologize.

With the storage sales of the company declining and the current outflow of available cash and credit going to build the new narrowcasting and streaming video content what area's of that business will produce revenues and how long before you will begin to see any results. Do you believe advertising and channel hosting fees will be enough to become profitable or is there another source of potential revenue you see providing income?

Good job, Ed and Flick and BAM. Though they are unlikely to address all of those question...excellent fodder and direction for the meeting. Appreciate each of your efforts very much ( knowing this can get tedious for you at times). Know your final version will be well focused....but yeah, you never know which question may strike a mother lode.
I do second JoCo's curiosity about the Mitsubishi lump sum payment.
Has it been booked yet ( seems not to have ben)? Size?
PS Dr. John...thank you for filling us in on the sad tale of Ampex's misuse of their early pornograph invention....lol. The one question I want to ask about the first model is genuinely unsuitable for posting. Reiter's does, by the way, host some adult sites. Or did anyway.

Questions From an Analyst

Ed,

Found these internet related questions in Investor's Business Daily issue dated June 7th quantifying an interesting web investment that may be suitable for "The List".

There are three areas to question. First, what's the Web company's unique value to customers? What's its profit model?

Secondly, how will it make money on its oldest customers? Take Amazon - it loses money in acquiring new customers. On the customers it acquired in 1996, it's making a ton of money. Gaining 6 million new customers a year overshadows profits with customer-acquisition costs.

And thirdly, what protects the Net company's profits from customer power (the ability for customers to easily search for lower prices from other vendors)?

If a business can answer all three of these questions - which some can and most can't -that's an interesting investment.

Best O'Luck!

Tom
