Sean

Pricegrabber found 10-pac unbranded 8x cd-r media at buy.com for 8.95.

Is unbranded media a risk or are all cd-r medias equal in quality?

Clarence

How's the ECC project coming along? Without you or ZP around here much lately Spots is getting bored, I fear..

Re: Windows 2000 (NT 5)

Anyone have any reports on it yet?

I've been playing with it for the past couple of days at work and at home, and man oh man, it's brutally slow (Server) running on a 350 with 128Mg. Although I like the way the Management Console is set up, there are a few quirks in the interface that might take some getting used to.

A heck of a lot of 95/98 interfaces that are incorporated...one of my favourites has got to be the addition of the device manager. Even the network / dial-up set up is interesting.

I'll add on more later when I have more time to play, but I wanted to see if anyone else has toyed with it yet.

Cheers,

Rich

Sean, you're an MP3 guy--if you haven't heard already and want one, be sure to snatch up one (or more) of the net $44 Diamond Rios. Another rebate based pricing snafu, that Pricegrabber caught eventually. With the coupon offseting shipping, it's tough to beat.

Hard drive prices are also fantastic, but I'm not jumping much since immanent 6.4 gig/platter drives will tube pricing further soon.
