Gottfried and Threaders, Made it home from Portland this evening. In the Portland newspaper last weekend I noticed an article stating that INTC finally cut the deal with the Washington County of Portland for a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) tax break. Then, yesterday, Friday, I stopped buy INTC and spoke with the Security Chief of one of the FAB plants regarding the new FAB construction. He stated that the TIF deal was the only aspect holding up the continual construction of the new FAB plant and orders for equipment which is slated for 0.18 micron and possibly copper. INTC according to the paper account is looking to hire 1,000 additional employees according to the paper but will have to pay additional taxes for each additional employee above the 1,000 employees that was part of the TIF deal.

The security chief stated that he has a 550 mega computer on order but it has not come in as of yet. Since us SI'ers know that AMAT provides the equipment for INTC the orders for June, July and August should be good.

When I got home and looked at IBD newspapers which have stacked up I noticed that the Option pages were only listing the October puts and calls and eliminating July, August and September. Is this an indication that investors are afraid to take a option position for these months. Perhaps Ben, can give us some indication.

Naturally, the above is only my opinions and the data which I have obtained reviewed from my conversations and review of the IBD. Readers are reminded the old saving, "caveat emptor (buyer/reader beware)."

Gottfried, if the Weekly DW data has not been posted as yet let me know and I will post it as soon as I get some sleep.<g>

Good night.

Paul
