an interesting sidebar on some of the DOJ evidence suggests that actually, MSFT would do better if CPQ, DELL, et. al. LOST market share. Why? The big boys get a better deal. Since MS will get the sale one way or another, every unit that goes to a white box vendor at $55 instead of to DELL at $40 gives MS an extra $15 of pure profit on the sale.

So I guess the answer to your question would be no... it might actually be good for MSFT.
