You gotta imagine that the disk tracker would not have a negative valuation, no? The tape tracker should easily fetch 30 in this market.

As all drive companies move together, I wonder what MXTR's gonna be at? 4? 3.5? Hehehe... The one consolation I can take in all this is that WDC will not be able to issue overpriced equity to escape from their oncoming liquidity squeeze.

Once WDC shuts its doors and MXTR gets consolidated by SEG or QNTM, the overcapacity ought to be cured and the industry can get Micron-like valuation. One only hopes!

No wonder disk drive investors are so philosophical. Still, I might be awfully tempted to pick up some cheap calls. I'm such a glutton for punishment.
