Well, there is OFDM {Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing and related methods}, Time Domain Pulse Technology, now IndraNet [speaking of fishnets to cast over the world]. I'm not quite sure what to make of this one. I've suggested the same thing before, but more in jest and more in nanotechnology mode [photovoltaic base stations as big as a small butterfly and similar in shape]. These microbase stations would form a Web.

A call or chunk of information would go house to house, or building to building by the shortest route, diving into fibre for long journeys around the world. Just a network with no central authority. It seems like a mm wavelength Wireless Local Loop type system but door to door rather than via a central telephone company. That means free calling.

CDMA would be the obvious way of doing it so I guess Qualcomm would get their hands on it at least for Intellectual Property. It would need to handle mobile devices too, so power control and all that would be necessary.

It's an investment opportunity. So sell your kidneys or buy your sheep or IndraNet - you can do it all in New Zealand.

Comments on IndraNet appreciated. Sell Qualcomm?
