That covering shorts went unnoticed is plausible, coach.

Still, volume was light so I'd guess a lot of shorts remain in place. Some of these guys could get burned.

Agree on ATHM and especially, GNET. No bids for any of this stuff but we may have seen the bottom. GNET weakness just shows you how much people are spooked and how much cash must be on the sidelines.

Not in the business, coach, just a private investor. Mostly buy-and-hold with stocks but trade lots of options.

BAM

Coach, does it ever occur to you that as a short, you spend
too much time to get those 15 or 20 pts, only to miss out
the greatest upside run in the history of the stock market?

For longs, we enjoy the 50, 100, 200 or even 400 pts upside
movement. Meanwhile, we can still play the correction phase
of the market by hedging it with puts

You would probably be a lot richer than you are today had you
decided to stay long in the internet sector two years ago, and
forget about these day-to-day movement.

Nothing personal, just wonder if you ever thought about this.

Coach, looks like we may get another chance with PCLN this week. The PW conference could provide fuel for net stocks. I'll be ready when PCLN crosses 100.

Regards,

Tom
