Well if we want to speculate why not just suggest that EDIG let that company use MicroOS under a different name in return for a royalty payment. That's a lot less complicated than trying to prove that EDIG's patent has been infringed upon. Well, either way we cannot prove either one.

That was an interesting take on what might be patent infringement, but wouldn't EDIG's patent cover their file management system? I thought that Edison had the first patent for voice recording. Maybe I'm over simplifying the issue.

The Jazpiper looks great. It probably has many more features than the LU/EDIG recorder. How does Jazpiper's file management software work? Is it an embedded OS like EDIG's?

I'm sorry for asking all these questions. I realize that you may not have the answers. I just didn't have the patience to download Word documents from the site.

They have a nice looking recorder. I hope it's more functional than their website.
