Dataquest estimates that the embedded processor market was worth $7.5 billion in 1998 and should grow to $26 billion by 2002. It's a market space that has been heating up, with fierce competition from other embedded processor companies such as ARM (Nasdaq: ARMHY) and MIPS Technologies (Nasdaq: MIPS).
