<< I wonder what "momentum daytrading" says about this. Ken? Buy at bid or ask?>>

I personally feel that an execution is a very individual matter that
is up to each traders expertise. I always attempted to get the
best possible price I could when trading but as a consequence
would miss out on some good trades. Most of our trades have
enough potential in them that executing at the ask is good enough
and we try to time the bottoms and enter prior to the upticking action.

Usually when I want in I want in and don't quibble much about the price. If you are scalping for a small profit then executions become paramount and going for the bid is a good idea. Hope this helps.

Good luck
Ken
