Mytrade (www.mytrack.com) currently lets you choose Island or HRZG routing. Routing to ISLD is good in many circumstances, but there's nothing like a real Market Maker to get you into or out of something that's moving against you.

The only problem they have now is that the confirms from Herzog (on trades and cancellations) can take minutes to come back. I believe that they are working on this problem.

Taf, thanks much for the feedback. I'll check out delta trader more closely.

Which broker(s) do you use?

Regards,

Dan

But sometimes that is not a bad thing as your order now is auto executed vs being ignored by MM's and/or chasing island down the pipe

Can you elaborate on "auto execution". I've traded with a direct access system (ATTAIN) and know well the inherent problems competing with other traders for limited shares and being ignored by MMs, not to mention the legal tools MMs have at their disposal that have rendered SOES and SelectNet virtually useless in many cases. I'm beginning to believe payment for order flow is not so dreaded as some of these "direct" folks would have us believe, but I've never used such a system.
