Carville, in New York...Not only did he have Stephie and Mandy, both New Yorkers, for the Clinton campaign in '92, but the essence of that campaign was to get the South to give one more chance to a Democrat. Carville fit into that program beautifully, as the Ragin' Cajun. Now, he will be in totally unfamiliar territory. Even if Mandy gets on board, I don't think it will help. I knew her sister briefly in the '70s. They are the children of Henry Grunwald, former editor- in- chief of "Time". They grew up on the Upper East Side, private schools, Mandy went to Princeton, summers on Martha's Vineyard with an in- crowd (James Taylor and Carly Simon, other literati from New York). Mandy knows how to appeal to yuppies, but I think that even the Outer Boroughs may be beyond her, and Staten Island---- faggedaboudid...
