It totally cracks me up to watch CNBC cover these employment numbers. The April numbers were revised by something like 50 percent. That alone tells us how bogus this whole exercise is. My God, people are making real decisions about their portfolios and the economy based on numbers that have a margin of error this high?!

And this 0.4% wage increase. The economy lost jobs is manufacturing and construction and added jobs in services. Well, no wonder there's an increase in wages. But how do we relate that to productivity in services, compared to manufacturing and construction? If services yield higher margins, then is 0.4% as bad a number as it sounds?

The talking heads just don't think this stuff through at all--.
