but after missing the first q earnings and seeing idtc pushed to single digits, idtc mgmt should realize how important meeting the earnings and revenues has become, especially when they guide the number lower

Are you talking about IDTC or Newbridge Networks? Or both?

HJ doesn't care about what the street thinks and wants. Well he got what he deserved, i.e., the street doesn't care about IDTC's price either. They just don't buy it no matter how good a deal it seems to be. Somehow, I believe the stock price of a company very often indicates how successfully a company is run. The stock price is the confidence vote from investors.
