Ditto! I look to get back in, but at a much lower price...like the teens. I feel in my heart that is where it is heading due to the "unknowns" that surround it. It is plain to me that a new ceo is months away and an av ipo is already factored in. We are several quarters away from "hope" and that is all it is. Hope for a strong ceo. Hope for better earnings. Hope for better market share. Hope for a clear cut direction and not the "flava of the week" approach that has been the hallmark of cpq over the last year and a half.

Key West,

I believe that the board, especially the astute Ben Rosen, is in NO rush to release any information and that they are staging price-sensitive information.

IMHO, this is a mature non-reactive smart methodology ... the LAST thing that CPQ/we need is to (1) show nervousness, (2) rush, (3) make mistakes, (4) have to change or retract info .... all good things come in-time and are well thought out .... to me this is the BOD's modus operandi.

<DON'T> underestimate the importance and criticality of choosing the 'perfect' CEO !!

if there was anything big coming out of AV
There won't be anything big comming out of any part of Compaq until they figure out who's running the company and what they want to do.

<<"It could very well be that CPQ has another shoe to drop, given lack of news and failure
of share price to capitalize on Dell's perceived stumble.">>

This is the perception of the street. AV is priced into the shares is also a strong belief. Holding yet and wondering why. Looks like time to bail as it can be replaced next month cheaper by the looks of things. The "sound" of silence from the company is deafening... but lots of excuses here... not any strong reasons though. It is even trying hard to close down today!
