Gregg,

Horror of horrors, you misunderstood my intended question. Lucky for me you answered what you thought I should be interested in, which was what I really wanted. In asking for the "asymptotic earnings" models, I had (in my own mind) expected that to be 3-4 years out. I'm guessing you thought I was looking at something in '99.

Fortunately, you gave me what I was looking for despite the ambiguity of my question. Since earlier this year, I've thought that QCOM is in a great situation, but have a hard time getting my hands around the size of the opportunity. In the past, you seem to have had as good, if not better, of an understanding of what went into the current real value for the Q. I extrapolated that you would therefore be a good source for what the potential might come to. As you said..."In my judgment, far too much thought is given to the June quarter's results at the expense of understanding the real drivers of shareholder value." I was just trying to put a better estimate on it (where "it" is QCOM's potential 4-5 years from now).

Thanks anyway for the response. Loved the mental masturbation reference....
