Sanyo Electric To Sell CDMA Handsets To
Shisegi Telecomm

TOKYO -- Sanyo Electric Co. (SANYY or 6764) of Japan is to sell
code division multiple access, or CDMA, phones to Shinsegi Telecomm
Inc. of South Korea, the two companies said Friday.

CDMA phones, noted for their high sound quality, use digital cellular
phone technology developed by Qualcomm Inc. of the U.S.

The sale will be possible because of South Korea's end of an import ban
on Japanese electronic products July 1, the companies said.

The companies didn't provide any information on the financial terms of the
agreement.

Hola Gregg- If GSM=CDMA, will (and when) do you expect Q to make GSM/CDMA chips for roaming? If in fact GSM continues to grow and slowly metamorphisizes into cdma, isn't a GSM capable chip a must for Q?

Cheers,

Caxton
