Re: "This is my main pet peeve lately and everybody seems to get it wrong, even those who should know better."

I think it's because everyone uses the term millennium to describe the computer problem with "2000" (last 2 digits stead of 4 digits).

The only person in the world that knows that. I should of guessed. I keep telling my friends that it's 2001, but they just roll their eyes.

OT This is my main pet peeve lately
- Then you should be thankful for having so few problems -

I bought a car a few years back and it had 23 miles on it when I received it. I though it more signifigant when it hit 100000 miles than when it hit 100023.

TP - Who's going to party in 1999, and if there's another party the next year, I'll party again!

People who think that the millennium starts at 2001 are the same people who on their fortieth birthday claim that they are 39.

Steven:

I agree with you on this. It's a big conspiracy to get us all to blow a bundle celebrating the new millenium on 12/31/99, then once we've all got over paying the bills we've run up, the ever-present "THEY" will tell us that they got it wrong, and we'll have to celebrate all over again on 12/31/00. (Why do I have trouble typing "00" for next year? Must be a programming problem!)

Enjoy the weekend.
