His sole passion in life became to mock the thread, the posters, and SI itself. His object was to stifle discussion by driving people away. He was succeeding at this goal. Obviously, this objective conflicted with the best interests of SI. I agree with Joan that getting bumped was probably good for Daniel's mental health. I wish him well.
