rich...good point, i fully understand this posture....what i try to demonstrate is how the "experts" grasp for straws, look for the next "boogeyman" to "knock" technology and attempt to apply old rules to a new game, which if they don't they've proven that they are no longer necessary.....consumers will cut back in the face of higher interest rates...corporations in order to maintain productivity will move forward with technology purchases..this is the change that economists can't agree on.....hard times have proven that a corporation will replace employees with machines....isn't that the real reason for down sizing?....case in point..ibm makes about 40k employees redundant, and they grow, and grow, and grow!.. value/pe etc...just back to the perception/reality game....
