Holding EDIG and CDNO at the moment-
EDIG is long term, CDNO is short term.

Walter you just may get your wish. From freerealtime board, an
email from David Weekly;

To All: Here is an e-mail I recieved from D. Weekly. If you read it carefully, it is positive for e-Digital. David Weekly is sold on EPAC and probably has a connection with some of our alliance partners. His criticism of e-Digital is well taken, but I suspect this little company with NO cash and lots of debts had to make a deal out of desperation. Read:

S'fine to post my stuff as long as you don't lie about me or twist my words,
which you haven't.

I'm still waiting to hear from you re:my last mail to you w/some possibly
fundamental flaws in e.Digital's plan.

I also think that it is unwise for e.Digital to bind themselves to a singular
format. That's never how you come out on top. You have to embrace *ALL* formats.
Notice that Real, Winamp (now AOL), and MS Audio all have proprietary formats
BUT all play each other's formats, too? Think about this. You win by embracing
everything and creating win/win situations. If you are codec-specific, you'll
probably lose. This is not a problem with e.Digital's technology AFAIK, but is
instead a "partnership problem" -- they've bound themselves a little too close
to Lucent.

>>>>>Fortunately for them, somebody else is going to come in and save their ass on
this issue, but it bespeaks of generally poor decision-making to me.<<<<<

Keep in mind that I'm sold on EPAC but have yet to be sold on EDIG.
