The problem is not Greenspan. He is far more forward thinking than most. The problem is the hawks who are still reeling over the cut Greenspan talked them into in Nov. He took flak from all sides for the LTCM bailout. Core CPI does include energy transportation costs. This may be what you are thinking of. TA, I don't see the inflation, but look to the Fed's statements at the bias change. Read it carefully. Fed has given fair warning, justified or not. Sorry, I promised you the last word.
