Do you know this for sure?

Processor upgrades with 450Mhz chips have been available for months. Apple only released these this week. Since they are all Zif sockets, what else could the explanation be? Of course they are more expensive, that's the point, Apple puts in slower chips and keeps the price up too long. Apple has suffered from inventory shortages on high end systems for as long as I can remember, due to lousy forecasting.

But check this out, the educational store is selling only 300Mhz models now but at a price that ClubMac beats on 350Mhz systems. Margin. I think they drag their feet for margin, they know they can get away with a certain amount and they do. The clone companies that Jobs nixed didn't.

Hey, I like Apple machines, just call a spade a spade, don't gloss over the wrinkles.

By the way, I don't drink, smoke or use caffeine, but I do like females.
