(OT Rant) Oi! Where was my invite!!

As stated in my post last Friday that I am responding to here: "Actually it has been a while since I last made a call on a WCDMA system and hope Ericsson ask me again soon, as they should have boosted the data rate up on the original test network by now."

Then my last press release post about higher data-rates....
But, WHERE WAS MY INVITE!!!

BTW: When people talk about EDGE being 2.5G, that is not strictly true as 384kbps actually is not a final limit that will be acheivable. Things will develop as they usually do. So therefore, many TDMA/GSM people do not need to evolve to CDMA (particularly in the US) and many more will not dump their GSM system either (particularly outside the US)- As I keep pointing out, the new 3G services will be in new spectrum...apart from the USA of course. GSM is as toast as an IS-95 air interface. Next generation will be in large CDMA bit dosn't mean ripping out the old air interface...when will people learn? Mind you they may just be being childish as they probably predicted copper wire would be toast in 1908 or something and that eventually all systems will become redundant...wow, there's a revealation!

So, I'll just throw out there this question, "when will IP be come redundant?"
