I only know that DVD consortium has already lowered significantly on their demand for royalties and so on. But it still is too high for the Chinese consumer market. The situation will continue past year 2000. The absolute amount of profit being made no doubt is SVCD chip that C-Cube sold in China than the DVD chip and the encoder chip. (Encoder has a very high profit,though) Steve

Fellow Cubers: I've been watching Cube very closely recently, and, I am starting to develop a sense that this stock has finally turned the corner for good!! I really mean it. I believe that Cube will not visit the teens (barring a severe market tank) any more. I have been buying a little more of the Cube @ 24+ about week ago. IMO the acceleration will occur when the Volume stays above the 1-2mln/day for a short while(e.g.1/2 weeks). Cube's potential regarding their EPS/Revs/Design Wins/new products/etc. are being monitored by others. Keep up the great work--DiViT, Reimen,BillyG, BSer,FredE, Bob Gentile (???? He's still alive and well) and all the rest of the crew. Have a great weekend everyone.Good times are almost here!! v
