I didn't notice this yacht had no reserve. If there is no reserve and it is bid on, and the bid is not retracted and the auction ends normally (people can end their auctions early), yes eBay gets their commission. But the seller can inform eBay within 60 days that the bidder did not pay, then eBay refunds the commission. Of course there are consequences to the bidder. Four such negative problems and they are ban from eBay, after three warnings.
