Technology Stocks : America On-Line (AOL) -- Ignore unavailable to you. Want to Upgrade?

The Solomon Brothers manager on CNBC believes AOL should trade like a cable stock ( or like a cable stock trades when there is no take-over mania ); if AOL traded like cable, it would be at 20, he said. So if it trades at 50-60, as he thinks it will, AOL would still be pricey.

Should AOL trade like a cable stock? I don't think so--if only because growth prospects are so much greater for AOL.

Yaacov, I'll try and clue you in: buy AOL first and then ask all the questions you want later. You will never regret it,

Ed and All,

I have a few questions regarding AOL that I like to ask? I just herd
the portfolio manager for Solomon brothers that predicted AOL at
50 to 60 dollars. I wonder, if all of investors in AOL, have been had?

Do you think AOL has outlived its cycle and is going to fade away? The
stock has been in loosing track, and it seems to be no bottom to where
it can go! Several weeks ago when I posted UBS analysts that had
predicted the stock go to 100, there were some angry posts!! It seems that some
people like to hide there head in the sand and hope that
AOL will go back up! (Me too!) Well, we
may seem to be there! I am an investor in AOL and I am worried.

Should we sell, cut our loses while there is still time?
Where AOL is going as far as future development of the company is concerned?
What is the deal that they lost recently?
Has there been any down-grades? Last but not least, is AOL really
a long term stock?????
