Which would you like:

1. Cable Guys controlling access.
2. Phone Guys controlling access.
3. Government Guys controlling access.
4. Market controlling access.

I don't think 1,2 or 3 can control broadband access.
If Oregon wants to block transfer of TCI to T then
that's ok. Sell off the system to the city council,
let them upgrade the system, bill the taxpayers and
run it themselves. Maybe the judge can be CEO of
this enterprise. What I would require from this
new business is for them to provide me with "open
access" to the system for ATHM. I wouldn't want
ATHM to have to pay for the cap. expenditure of
upgrades, the risk involved in investing the dough,
or the upkeep of the system. That wouldn't be fair.
Broadband welfare for poor ol' AOL. Now this "judge"
is fair! Long live capitalism as long as it's fair.
