Thurston, floorless bandit find ways to short even if it is impossible to short. One way is using off shore accounts where apparently shorting occurs even without borrowing shares to short. The short position might not even be reported. If the is a floorless, beware, in most cases, the holders of the common lose. In very few cases catastrophes are avoided.
