I saw the bid and ask on QWST (I think) yesterday that were $2 apart, so I checked time & sales chart. Problem was that most of the bid/ask quotes were from nasdaq, but some chicago quotes were scattered in there as well. So, sometimes you would see the bid from one exchange and the ask from the other, and sometimes they were $2 apart. Same might have happened on Ameritrade.

No not alone.

What happens is that the bids are sometimes at the ask or above, in other stocks, the ask is sometimes the real ask, sometimes a dollar higher (the highest ask) which is not the case.

When you look at a stock like DXPE for example (thinly traded), then you see that the bid is 5 3/8. But the real bid is 4. 5 3/8 was my own ask.

FNCM shows on Friday, Jun 04 at 11:01:28
a best bid of 5 3/32 and a best ask of 4 29/32
but the real best ask (from reuters) is 5 1/8 !

HELP!!!!
