<<do you realize you have landed in a nest of agnostics and even -- dreadful thought -- atheists ? That is, in a nest of people...>>

Yikes, of course that's better than what I find right outside my window. Keep in mind, I have never claimed to be a religious scholar or even a qualified spokesman. I was outed on the sanity thread. I've no need to hide it, just didn't see it as my calling card for being there.

<<Seriously, do you really believe that this world -- Nature, that is -- is perfect in every regard?>> Absolutely. With our limited ability to investigate, discover and make sense of it, we find plenty of evidence through our somewhat flawed recording system that it is, in fact, perfect. Why do you think that it is not? And what are you using as a comparative measure of perfection?

"...do you realize you have landed in a nest of agnostics...?"

Oh how wonderful this sounds-- what music to my ears.

Thank you jbe for telling me of this place.

For those of you who haven't seen it; I've just spent the last week on (in)sanity check trying to get the narrowed minds to accept simply that there are agnostics, and that I am indeed one of them. What an astounding and bizarre thing it is to not even be told that your view is wrong, but that it doesn't exist.

Some time ago I spent awhile on an agnostic thread on the old Excite boards. That was, so far, the single most pleasant discussion thread it has ever been my honor to be a part of. At least until the theists showed up.

Has anyone else noticed this as well? It has been my experience that ultimately agnostics are far and away the kindest and most tolerant people I have interacted with. It must have something to do with not holding unproven beliefs. Opinions anyone?

Aaaah... it just feels good to be somewhere where I am not perceived as a threat to someone else's orthodoxy.
