>>AOL will be screaming<<

AOL will certainly benefit from the ruling. However, many of the
other national ISPs have also been battered, primarily, IMO, because
of the uncertainty surrounding the broadband issue. The following
analysis is based on a review of the first quarter 10-Qs. Each stock
should probably be subjected to some additional due diligence.
The PRGY numbers, for example, do not reflect the May 27, 1999
announcement that PRGY is acquiring 125,000 to 200,000 subscribers
from Cable & Wireless.

Internal Qtr to Qtr Percentage
Valuation per Market cap/ Subscriber Decline
Subscriber Sales Growth From High

BIZZ 3,144 10.15 N/A 58.95%

ELNK 1,628 7.25 11.55% 40.63%

FLAS 1,465 9.76 10.49% 60.92%

GEEK 1,466 6.86 14.58% 72.44%

MSPG 2,105 11.62 9.81% 40.37%

ONEM (1) 1,042 5.29 11.77% 58.56%

PRGY (2) 2,706 14.20 16.04% 48.64%

(1) Adjusted for the acquisition of "The Grid."
(2) Excludes Prodigy Classic subscribers.

The above analysis is based on June 4, 1999 closing prices.

We will see how it plays out. The interesting thing about it is the raw nerve it touched off in the market. Obviously isp cable access a concern for the market.

Yes AOL is looking for cable access. The ATHM CEO said they had to play ball and partner with ATHM or Road Runner. Obviously AOL is trying to get in the back door for free first before that;)

Now we now what is stalling broadband rollout.Cableco's not in a rush to set up market for ISP's til they get some clearity of the landscape. This looks like one of the nets' hot buttons.
