Not to be funny, but this in one statement Murphy's Law -- "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong!" Properly considered, Murphy's Law is demonstrably correct, as in -- "in a very large number of repetitions (Bernoulli trials) the probability of at least one failure approaches one as closely as one wishes." This is involved in the frequency (empirical) definition of probability. Of course, Murphy's law should be revised as follows" "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, -- eventually!"
