Hi Big Al, I think we may see a stronger NAZ next week. The last 15 min. of the close on Fri. was strong and it may continue into next week. If so, I wouldn't be surprised to see CKFR in the upper $40's again (typical trading range for CKFR). Of course, if Fri. was a "sucker rally," I'll be looking to buy some CKFR in the low $30's. Guess the close of CKFR for next Friday at the market close. First a quick look at how other inets are doing, Co.........Recent high........Close Fri...........% off high NTBK.........83.................30................64 SEEK........100.................37................63 ATHM........198.................95................52 GNET........199................100................50 AMZN........221................109................50 DCLK........176.................93................47 EGRP.........72.................38 ..............47 CKFR.........69.................40................42 YHOO........244................148................39 CMGI........165................94.................39 AOL.........176................118................33 EBAY........234................169................28 Only SEEK and ATHM are below their 200 day EMA. (Poor ATHM, bad news on Friday!) Even though many inets gained on Friday, many traded 1/2 to 2/3 avg volume. I think more selling is to come. Considering CKFR spent only two days above 55 when that online banking frenzy was occurring, I don't think the stock has really fallen all that much (27% if you use 55 as a recent high). Unless the rest of the segment rallies, I think CKFR will break its support. My guess: Close Fri at 38 1/4, up from low of 34 1/2. Hoping CKFR holds support and moves higher, Erik (IMHO)

Big AL, I am hoping your mother will have a quick recovery. I know I can at least get August, T.L., and gm_10 to play. Sorry, I don't have a slightest clue. :-< Probably, somewhere between $36 and $43. I don't have anything on margin and don't have spare cash to buy on dip. That makes me pretty much indifferent. Some days I check the price only when I get home after midnight.

Hi Big Al, OT*** Sorry to hear about your MOM. Just wanted you to know that I had a brain tumor and was in surgery for 12 hours about 25 years ago and have been fine ever since. My prayers go out for you and your Mom . God Bless Dorine

You might like this site. stock100.com It too predict $36 and change for the next Friday. The authors apply NEURAL NETWORK to financial field. Don't ask me what the hell it means. Probably not to much as people that used site's prediction say that chances of being on the wrong side are pretty good. I wouldn't bother to mention the site if it didn't have one interesting feature - it calculates correlations between stocks, indexes, etc. Correlation is a thing of the past, so it can be calculated precisely. It gave me correlation between CKFR and NASDAQ 0.82 which is very strong statistically. For comparison, YHOO has it 0.43, AMZN - 0.65, EBAY - 0.65. Basicaly it means that CF is being treated by the market as a normal stock rather than as an Internut. All the Internuts trashing only slightly affected us. Correlation with SP500 is quite good too - 0.78. FWIW.

Big Al, Put me down for 44 1/2. Don't ask me how I got that number...but if the history of my picks is any guide, other contestants would do well to pick at least $5 - $10 away from me. By the way, threadsters, I've been to Big Al's office and I've seen him working. He has this real impressive office on the top floor of a real impressive building in downtown Fort Worth, and I'm not sure what he does all day but watch his stocks on his computer screen. At least that's all he does everytime I've seen him. So he must've got real bored and decided to create this contest. Seriously, my wife and I know Big Al to be a fine individual and a great family man, in addition to being a premier stock picker. Our best wishes and our prayers go out to his family in these difficult times.
