Antoine, I agree that they (the professional money manager class) provide a great service in making the market efficient while mostly lagging it. Just as traders provide the liquidity so necessary for an efficient market but as a group make negative money after spreads and commissions. Myself, I am a very selfish person. I am not sure that I understand your point 4. As the saying goes: if the market is efficient - profit from it by investing in index funds. I find it amazing that many don't. So, I talk about it. However, I made a single statement about market efficiency and lots of statements about other stuff. :-) -BGR.
