BTW all, I'm not recommending that anyone sell anything, or buy anything for that matter.

My only point was to discussing the Technical picture of the stock, the sector, and how important it is for GNET to break out of being lumped in with the rest of the portals.

I fully understand the positives (I think..:0), and have NO DOUBT that GNET will regain and exceed its previous highs. Paul Allen ensured that GNET will have a place in the cable empire that he is creating, a priviledge that some other non-aligned portal distinctly lack. That empire will provide a ready customer base of millions of folks who consistently link to ecommerce sites through Go2Net.

And I am not short this stock. I just want to know if my TA is accurate or not and offer my opinion for others to scrutinize and analyze so that we come out ahead of the big boy on the street who helped to pop the bubble they were working actively to pump up just a few months ago.

So if your long and in for the long term, and not trading your position, don't worry (IMO).

If you're trading a position and looking for a point where you can back up the truck and pile on, you're the people I'm writing to and want to hear from.

Just wanted to make that clear so no one thinks I'm dissing the company, cause I'm not.

Regards,

Ron

FWIW Ron, I enjoy reading your tea leaves summaries. Here's the deal, you tell it like you see it and I'll add your comments to the many other variables which enter into my buy-or-sell-GNET equation.

Regards,

Dany

Interesting comments, Ron. But...

All it takes to get back on track is for investors who are confident of GNET's future prospects to start accumulating the stock. I may not be representative, but I've added to my position right here; in fact, I've unloaded other securities to do so.

It appears that the Net recovery will be led by YHOO and, based on Friday's odd court decision, AOL as well. GNET should be right in line.

TA is a useful gauge of sentiment, but it paints a picture of the past. I use it to see where we've been, but not to tell me where, fundamentally, we're going. And I don't expect TA to tell me what to expect from this quarter's earnings, this month's Media Metrix report or this week's celebration of SI's 10mmth post.
